How thin are you?

Today’s generation is ground flat influenced by media in every other aspect, out of which the major concern is on health.
A while ago, say years ago faces that appeared on the media were healthy and well built. But over the years, Hollywood has had its influence over our models which has made them skimpily built.
As an influence, people have been losing hell a lot of weight through various means, one of which is dieting, but is dieting helpful in the long run? May be yes in the case of obese ones. But what about those who already are slim?

The worst affect are the teenagers, who in the road to be trendy or to imitate their favourite models/stars end up loosing all the weight they have, which might lead to a severe health disaster.
First of all my concern is, why should the news about some Tom, Dick and Hary loosing weight be published or screened? Secondly, it’s the personal choice of an individual.

Is there a need to make this public and have a negative influence on we the viewers?

what abt u? It depends on one's mindset isnt it. well how many ppl do u know who is dieting to have thin build. can be counted in fingers, infact its other way round, ppl getting obessed due to junk food.

so true. kareena's new size zero is the thing to talk about. but dieting isnt the healthiest option unless you're talking about extreme cases of obeisity (that too weight that doesnt have anything to do with thyroid).

this generation belongs to the media. but they dont want to do the research before they start the aping.

@sunny - i have no statistics to prove my point though.it's purely based on observation
