Water, water everywhere, not a drop to save. This is a view of after-affect of rains on Thursday,
the 13th of September 2007.
What had caused this overflow? Inadequate drainage? Level roads? You never know.
And on my way to work, this was how traffic was clogged and I was stranded for almost four hours to travel a distance of little more than two kilometers:

pity...
@aniket-
yeah, it is!
As I am told by people who have been in Bangalore since ages that Bangalore used to be a lake city, but now it's just a water-logged city. For years, Bangaloreans have been encroaching upon lakes, tank beds and now they are paying the price for it.

Blame it on the construction boom. Earlier, the flowing rain water used to settle in a lake, but when that is converted to sites, where else water will flow other than main roads and residential areas!!!
@ devaiah- thanks for dropping by! Yeah encroaching of lands is nothing new to bangaloreans.Rather it has become a part of living for atleast a few.Now its only time, who'vll have to decide and teach people "Jaise karni waise bharni".
@kishor- thanks for dropping by. construction boom yes!but then,when are we to realise our misdeeds?? to be decided by time alone!!
