Trust

How important is trust in any relationship? Offlate, I don’t seem to be trusting any new faces that I come across and there is no specific reason for this particular behavior. I am also unsure, if this kind of a behavior is peculiar. When I see people around me blindly trusting strangers, I go crazy, but I keep in mind that, it is none of my business as long as the person is someone whom I can talk to.
Universal fact is that, the word trust is the basis of every relationship and the world runs on trust factor.

But I am not the one who’l trust every Tom, Dick and Harry. But why? No reason

I will be celebrating my birthday very shortly i.e on 25th of November to be precise and i am feeling sad that i will be growing older by an year, although happy to have become wiser.
A big thankyou to all those people, who have been with me all thorughout, across every other situation in life, both good and bad.

Working on Saturdays

What would happen, when you are asked to work on Saturdays when the rest of the world around is sleeping?
Go crazy? Curse? What else? What is your take on this?

Offlate, i have been coming across people who yap a lot.
Go to office...yap....go to market...yap...getinto a bus ...yap
Is yapping a God Gift,or a talent imbibed is what i have been thinking? By the way, can yapping be termed as a talent?And people good at talking, build buildings,just with their words and try and get away either by hook or crook. And the innocents are held for no mistake of theirs, just because they are not good at talking.
I have been a victim myself of people with long tongue.Have been ripped right and left. But am learning to confront the situation.
Can the readers tell me how to improve on the talking skills?

Feels really really good to be back to my blog world after a gap of five months. That's right, you have read it right - 'Five Months' i have been away from here and i know, i have couple of things to share,plenty of stories to tell.
And i hope to remain here for sometime and not vanish.

Guess winter's treating all of you well.Here in Bangalore,days are getting colder and colder and it looks like each winter is severe then its preceeding years.Nevertheless, i like winter in comparison to summer days, were the heat is unbearable.The other day i had to go out somewhere early in the morning by 7am and i got into a rickshaw. It was a total foggy day and i was enjoying the view sitting in the rick.The road ahead was not visible, since it was covered with fog. I was just loving it. Me being a nature person will never want to miss out the opportunity to enjoy the fog.Hence,a few meters away from my destination, i got out of the rick and started to walk.It was pretty cold out, inspite i was loving my walk and proud of my wise decision.
Christmas and New Year round the corner, every other building is being decorated. What an amazing view it is in the evening hours.

Mosquitoes

Mosquitoes are the most terrible creatures found on planet earth.Mosquitoe bites that i have been experiencing from the past few days made me post this article.A glimpse from google:

Mosquito is a common insect in the family Culicidae.There are about 3,500 species of mosquitoes found throughout the world. In some species of mosquito, the females feed on humans.

Mosquitoes have mouthparts which are adapted for piercing the skin of plants and animals. While males typically feed on nectar and plant juices, the female needs to obtain nutrients from a "blood meal" before she can produce eggs.
Mosquitos are generally considered annoying and may also transmit diseases, thus leading to a variety of human efforts to eradicate or reduce their presence.

Since many mosquitoes breed in standing water, source reduction can be as simple as emptying water from containers around the home. This is something that homeowners can accomplish. For example, homeowners can eliminate mosquito breeding grounds by removing unused plastic pools, old tires, or buckets; by clearing clogged gutters and repairing leaks around faucets; by regularly changing water in bird baths; and by filling or draining puddles, swampy areas, and tree stumps. Eliminating such mosquito breeding areas can be an extremely effective and permanent way to reduce mosquito populations without resorting to insecticides.

Mosquitoes are a vector agent that carries disease-causing viruses and parasites from person to person without catching the disease themselves.
The principal mosquito borne diseases are the viral diseases yellow fever, dengue fever and Chikungunya, transmitted mostly by the Aedes aegypti, and malaria carried by the genus Anopheles.Mosquitoes are estimated to transmit disease to more than 700 million people annually in Africa, South America, Central America, Mexico and much of Asia with millions of resulting deaths.


There are many methods used for mosquito control. Depending on the situation, source reduction, biocontrol, Insecticides to kill larvae, or specifically the adults may be used to manage mosquito populations.

Me:I read an ad in the paper about a vacancy in your firm
F-V:Plz be online, will tranfer the call to concerned person
A long music goes on and on...

Female 2:Hello, how may i help you?
Me:I read an ad in the paper about a vacancy in your firm
Female 2:Yes we do, whats your experience?
Me:3 months
F2:Great,whats your profile?
Me:HR Recruitment
F2:Ok.How soon can you join us?
Me:Immediately..
F2:We have certain conditions for employees
Me:Like?
F2:You would have to submit your original certificates with us and these would be returned only after 4 months.You are not given any kind of leave for the first 3 months
Me:(Bullshit)...Leave criteria is fine, but not okay with the certificate episode
F2:Can you talk to the manager incharge and get things clarified?
Me:Sure, can you give me his number?

I make a note of the number and call up the esteemed manager
Me:Hi,is this Mr.X
He:Yes
Me:Hi,i am May here and i happened to read about a vacancy in your concern
He:Yes(and he goes on to mention the conditions for employees) and this is India's no.2 firm.
We are the best
Me:I am okie with it but due to personal reasons, i would be requiring a days leave after a month
He:Days leave would be impossible to be given since we have leave policy applicable
Me:What would you do if an employee falls sick?Would you ask him to work inspite of his illness?
He:Is the way you talk to a manager?
Me:You are not my boss as yet

At this point i guess,the mighty manager of India's No.2 firm was infuriated and couldnot handle my question and said, "Why don't you find a job in your native?"

Is this the way a manager is supposed to talk to his candidates at the very first instance?Is it this kind of an attitude that makes Izee No.1?

How time changes..

I have been away from blogging for a while, you know why? I have taken up a job very dear to me. I have started up as a HR and the interesting part is i am liking it. I have always wanted to interact with people of different mindsets and of different ages and my present job is giving me that contentment if not fully, a little, yes.Since am new to this branch i have a long way to go and i understand coming to any conclusion is very early with the time i have spent in HR.Just keeping my fingers crossed for now.

Indibloggers Meet 21st Feb

Today, i had been to the Indibloggers meet which was held at Kyra Indiranagar,Bangalore.
It was quiet a good one.Being my first time for such meets,i was quiet surprised to see such a huge enthusiastic crowd at the venue.

People of every age beginning from 17/18 to 60/65 were found participating.In all a nice get together it was.Hoping for more such meet ups in future.

Why Rhymes?

For sometime i have been wondering, why are babies taught rhymes in their early schooling days.Today, after listening to 'Jingle bells, jingle bells' for the nth time, have been thinking how does rhymes contribute in shaping up a child's personality? What difference does it make on the thinking pattern of a kid, that he is compulsorily made to learn rhymes?
