Where are you?

My first attempt on poetry:

A song for the heart, seeking a reflection
Says where are you, I am waiting for thee.

Not one beam of light, been getting darker and darker,
Where are you, I am waiting for thee.

Minutes have rolled into years,
With no sign of you nor your shadow closeby
Where are you, I am waiting for thee.

Friends go and friends come, new face all around
But those dazzling eyes, be nice
Where are you, I am waiting for thee

Not a Shakespeare, not a Wordsworth
A simple flower, trying to spread its fragrance ever

  1. This is my first comment in your blog too :)

A refreshing and lively poem, which has come from the most beautiful expression of a 'sensitive' heart :)
